Wentz’s book, The Effective CISSP: Security and Risk Management, is a starter that is easy to read. However, Wentz QOTD can be tough! These questions are NOT designed to demoralize or demotivate CISSP aspirants but to urge them to “synthesize and apply” the CISSP concepts, as Adam said.
As an experienced professional, Wentz applies his knowledge and experience of engineering (system, software, and security), project management, business administration, and heavyweight exams taking (CISSP, CBAP, PMP, SCRUM, MCSD, etc.) when writing questions. Terminologies, business ideas, technical concepts, and security processes are often integrated into one question. As a result, practicing Wentz QOTD is a thought-intensive process.
Every question in Wentz QOTD, including answer options, is designed with care. Wentz’s suggested answer and justification are proposed after research. References are included for further study. The time you spend in one question depends on the extent to which you have prepared. It may take 5 minutes to a couple of hours to complete a question.
Kindly be reminded that the suggested answer is for your reference only. It doesn’t matter whether you have the right or wrong answer. What really matters is your reasoning process and justifications.
I hope you kill the real beast as soon as you expect! All the best!!
