Step 4. Practice Questions

  1. Tomato Exams by Domains
If you don’t have enough time to study after work, use Tomato exams (Exam ID 1 to 8).
In each Tomato exam, there are only 15 questions with a 25-minute timebox.
You can repeat Tomato exams in each domain 5 times at maximum.
  2. Real Exam Simulations: each simulation has a 2-hour timebox.
  3. Regression Test
Click Report\Regression Test to review questions you didn’t align with the suggested answer.
If a question you got wrong three times when practicing, you have to get it right more than three times to remove it from the regression list.
  4. All QOTDs
All the real exam simulations account for around 80% of questions.
Click Report\All QOTDs to practice all questions sequencially.

Step 5. Evaluate Performance

  • Kindly be reminded that the suggested answer is for your reference only. It doesn’t matter whether you have the right or wrong answer.
What really matters is your reasoning process and justifications.
  • Please do click the explanation link to read the details on my blog and understand why an option is suggested as the answer and why others are not.
  • It’s common to start with a score under 40%, and the process can be frustrating. There is no shortcut, so please be patient to keep studying.
If the score goes between 40% and 50%, you must be feeling more comfortable with the style of Wentz QOTDs.
If the score falls between 50% and 60%, I believe you get started to learn stuff seriously and on the right track.
If you score higher than 70%, it’s about time for you to sprint for success.
  • 80% is the success mark! After completing all the WPF questions and scoring higher than 80%, I suggest you use the ISC2 Official Practice Tests (OPT), which has around 1360 questions.
  • Before you sit for the CISSP exam, please read the ISC2 Official Study Guide (OSG) at least once.
  • To review and understand all the topics in the CISSP Exam outline is also a must.
  • My CISSP Starter Page has more resources.
  • My book, The Effective CISSP: Security and Risk Management, has a good introduction to information security governance and risk management.
